LGBTI ELDERS* CREATIVE STORY CRAFTING WORKSHOP PROGRAM
Peripheral Arts in partnership with LGBTI Community Ageing Network invite LGBTI Elders* to be part of a FREE 8-week creative story crafting workshop program at Nambour Community Centre starting Monday 4th February 2019.
*persons aged 60 and over or those with ‘elder’ status commensurate with experience and contribution to the LGBTI community.
We are holding an Information Session/Morning Tea about this workshop program @ Nambour Community Centre on Wednesday 30 January at 10am -12noon.

THE BUNKER SERIES FOR HORIZON FESTIVAL

Sunday 26 August11am – 2pmThe Spoken Word Poetry Workshop is the second workshop of the Bunker series, featuring former UK Slam Champion and current Artistic Director of the Poetry Society’s SLAMbassadores program, Joelle Taylor. This special event offers participants the opportunity to work one on one with this award winning facilitator to develop their own craft, learn techniques for writing, performance and presentation.Reserve your tickets here.
Monday 27 August6pm – 8:30pmThe poetry heat is the first competition of the Bunker Series, and will see poets presenting their three minute works to a panel of judges. Once again held in the magnificent Solbar Playhouse, this heat will feature QLD Slam Champion and stand-out performer from Horizon 2017, Anisa Nandaula.Reserve your tickets here.
Wednesday 29 August5:30pm – 8:00pmThe storytelling heat will feature guest storyteller Chris Allery accompanied by musician Sue Ray. Pre-registered participants will deliver their performance piece to three judges in the hope of securing a place in the Bunker competition final.Reserve your tickets here.
Saturday 1 September2pm – 5pmStorytelling and poetry Bunker heat finalists will have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes at The Bunker Main Event.
